Privacy at acnedarkspots.com

Who is responsible

acnedarkspots.com is run as a site of its own, and it decides what is measured here, so it is responsible for that data. Write to privacy@acnedarkspots.com with any question.

What gets recorded

How visits are counted

Statistics go from your browser to this site's own address, /api/glance, which passes them to an analytics provider (EU) that stores them on servers inside the European Union. Your IP address is passed on so that a rough location, such as country and city, can be worked out. A random code in session storage ties the pages of one visit together and disappears when you close the tab, so separate visits cannot be linked. No cookies are used for statistics. Visitors in the EU are only counted after pressing "Allow".

Where the analysis button goes

"Start my analysis" and similar links pass through acnedarkspots.com/spot-check and then open acne.today, a separate paid service. The link tells acne.today which site and which button you came from. Anything you share there, such as photos, answers or payment details, falls under acne.today's own privacy policy.
